Abstract

This article discusses the development of oral speech and its features as one of the most important tasks of the formation of speech of younger schoolchildren. speech is the basis of mental activity, a means of communication. At the conclusion of the experiment, it was also confirmed and generalized that the skills of comparison, classification, generalization are formed in students in the process of acquiring knowledge through speech, which is also manifested in speech activity. It is noted that the experience of logically accurate, demonstrative, figurative oral and written speech of a student is an indicator of his mental development, and the content and form of oral speech depend on his age, condition, experience, temperament, character, abilities, interests, condition, with the help of speech, students assimilate educational material and communicate. The more actively students develop oral, written and other forms of speech, the richer the vocabulary and the better their cognitive abilities.
