THE ROLE OF RELIGION AND RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS IN THE SOCIO-POLITICAL LIFE OF KYRGYZSTAN

Abstract

This article discusses the place and role of religion and religious organizations in Kyrgyzstan. The elements of religion in the public life of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the structural and functional features of religious organizations will considered. This organization called the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (SAMK), and bears the name of the Muftiyat. It can be said that in the recent history of the countries of Central Asia, more precisely, in Soviet times, the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan (SAMCAK) was politically passive, but occupied an important place in the political sphere. It can be said that in the communist era, the population only knew about the existence of the muftiate as a religious institution, but did not know it closely. The question arises whether this organization was perceived as inaccessible or untouchable, as belonging only to certain circles. It can be seen that the SAMK, a religious institution that has not been active in Kyrgyz society, has taken an important place after independence. The question is brewing whether the current spiritual administration of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, in other words, the Muftiyat, is the legal successor of SAMCAK, or whether it operates as a newly formed organization. The history of the current SAMK described as a newly formed organization after the independence of Kyrgyzstan. In fact, it would not be a mistake to say that so far no one has been able to study the question of exactly what kind of feature introduced in contrast to the religious organization of the communist era. It can said that the majority of Kyrgyzstanis are dissatisfied with the religious institution, or rather the SAMK, in connection with the events taking place around it. Every citizen who considers himself a Muslim is interested in the question of whether the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan managed to win the trust of the Kyrgyz community. Although it was discussed publicly, but did not think about its features, functions and responsibilities. The public discussed only external phenomena. In fact, she lived outside the scientific sphere. It is relevant for the public and political sphere only at certain times and forgotten over time. A structural and functional analysis of the history, structure and responsibilities of the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, which occupies a special place in the life of society, will carried out. In our article, we will try to conduct a scientific analysis of the problems mentioned above.
