THE RESULTS AND MAIN DIRECTIONS OF IMPROVING THE ACTIVITY OF THE MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY DEPARTMENT AT OIUCH

Abstract

This article is a study of the main indicators of the dental service of maxillofacial surgery and identification of the main directions of its reform to improve the quality of medical care provided to patients with maxillofacial pathology. The results of the study the indexes of the bed fund, qualitative indexes of the department work remained stable in the period under study. The main types of pathology most often hospitalized in the maxillofacial surgery department are inflammatory processes. After inflammatory processes, congenital and acquired maxillofacial pathologies follow in terms of frequency, followed by traumas of the maxillofacial region. On the basis of the report data analysis it has been established that the majority of patients are admitted in urgent cases; in this connection it is necessary to organize urgent maxillofacial surgical service at the reception department of OIUCH.
