Theory and practice of studying Case categories in the Кyrgyz Language

Abstract

Relevance. The article is devoted to the study of the case system of the Kyrgyz language with an emphasis on its morphological features and productivity of forms in speech. The purpose of the study is to identify the composition and structure of the cases of the Kyrgyz language, analyze their comparison with the Russian case system and assess the level of understanding of case forms among students. The relevance of the work is due to the need to clarify the boundaries of the case category, especially in the context of the emergence of controversial forms located on the border of inflection and word formation, as well as the need for empirical confirmation of the theoretical provisions of modern linguistics. The object of research is the case system of the modern Kyrgyz language. The subject of the study is the morphological forms of cases, their functions and productivity in use, as well as the perception of these forms by first-year students. Research methods include descriptive and morphemic analysis, comparative-typological approach, functional-semantic analysis, paradigmatic method, as well as an empirical survey among 103 students to identify the level of understanding and correct use of case forms.
