Clinical approaches to the treatment of children with dental position and shape disorders

Relevance. The article presents the results of a study on the treatment of children and adolescents with dental position and shape disorders. The aim of the study was to develop and substantiate clinical approaches to the treatment of this category of patients, taking into account age characteristics, aimed at achieving stable functional and aesthetic results. The study included 69 patients aged 8 to 16 years who underwent comprehensive orthodontic treatment followed by a retention follow-up period. The results showed that the use of modern orthodontic techniques makes it possible to effectively correct a wide range of dental anomalies, including supra- and infra-occlusion, tortoanomaly, vestibular and palatal position of teeth, retention, crowding, diastema and tremae, tilt of the frontal teeth, as well as anomalies in the shape of the dentition. Depending on the clinical situation, both removable plate devices with various functional elements (screws, springs, arches, ejectors) and non—removable systems were used - Damon Q braces systems and traditional designs using elastic rods and chains. The choice of treatment method was determined by the patient's age, the nature of the pathology and the condition of the dental system.
