This article considered the topic of artificial termination of pregnancy - abortion, its medical, social significance and impact on demography. Induced abortion has long been one of the intractable moral and legal issues. In fact, in reality, this issue is more important. Is it legal or moral to deprive an already born life of the opportunity to live? Are the actions of women justified if it was for medical reasons or as a result of violence? Questions of this kind are problems concerning the topic of abortion. The article provides statistical indicators of abortion and fertility over the past ten years. The study included data from 185 women, who were used to evaluate the relative rates of major complications after artificial termination of pregnancy. This paper also provides answers about the reason for their artificial termination of pregnancy and provides recommendations to prevent and reduce the number of abortions for those who have no contraindications.
