Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the motivation for professional choice and career plans of students in the fields of “Public Relations and Advertising” and “Journalism” in universities of Kyrgyzstan. To achieve this goal, a survey was conducted among students of six leading universities in the country. An online questionnaire method was used, where students were asked about the reasons for choosing their university and specialty, career preferences, and suggestions for improving educational programs. The results show that students make a conscious choice of profession, with most linking their future careers to the capital city or international opportunities. A low interest in working in government press services was observed, alongside a strong emphasis on developing digital competencies.
