AN INTERNATIONAL VERSION OF THE AMERICAN ENGLISH LANGUAGE USE AS A MEANS OF COMMUNICATION

Abstract

This article presents the fact that, despite many publications, discussions and debates, the place of the American version of the English language in international relations has not yet been fully determined. Linguistic psychologists not only divide the English language into two variants, American and English, but also evaluate the differences between Americans and English separately, and try to identify different features. There is no doubt that English is the medium of international relations. There is a danger that native speakers of English will become a linguistic elite, and they will use this language for their own interests and seek to dominate other peoples and languages. Even now, being a means of international relations, the English language has lost its national independence and characteristics, and has begun to acquire the property of "basic English language".
