Abstract

 Recommendations are currently being prepared for the inclusion of the Uzgen historical and architectural museum complex in the list of UNESCO sites. The city of Uzgen is positioned as an independent tourist destination in the category “educational (cultural and historical) tourism” on the Kyrgyz section of the “Fergana-Syr-Darya corridor of the Great Silk Road”, along with others 5 objects. One of the glory and heritage of Uzgen was, is and will be Uzgen rice. History, images, master classes on making Uzgen rice could attract the attention of tourists. Working rice fields, Ak Zhubazy - a rice mill producing Uzgen rice, ashkhans, master classes derived from them on preparing the famous pilaf, the art and manner of eating pilaf could generate interest among tourists. It will be much better if you connect them with a narrative. In the Uzgen Museum complex, you can turn Uzgen rice into one of the brands of Uzgen, and make Uzgen a gastronomic Mecca not only of Central Asia, but also of the world! This would be facilitated by widespread propaganda of legends and tales about Uzgen rice. We bring to your attention a number of legends and tales about Uzgen rice.
