The study is dedicated to the key issues of gender-based violence in the Kyrgyz Republic (KR): domestic violence, bride kidnapping (ala kachuu), sexual violence, violence against women with disabilities. Ninety cases of violence against women in 2024 mark an ever-increasing trend: according to UNWomen, there are 14,293 registered cases of domestic violence, which is 37% more than in 2023 (eca.unwomen.org). The problem is complicated by low reportability, weak law enforcement, cultural stereotypes and gender discrimination. Analysis and proposals are provided: strengthening the legislative framework, creating crisis centers, training personnel, media campaigns, etc. The article is based on statistics, research (2015–2025), international recommendations and national reports
