Abstract

Translating phraseological expressions related to wild birds from Chinese to Kyrgyz poses various difficulties. One of the primary challenges lies in identifying suitable equivalents for Chinese phraseological units in the Kyrgyz language. This unresolved issue necessitates a comprehensive examination of the linguistic and cultural features of both languages. Another obstacle pertains to the metaphorical and figurative elements within phraseological expressions associated with birds in Kyrgyz and Chinese. These elements often incorporate metaphors and other rhetorical devices that may lack direct counterparts in the target language. Hence, translators must possess a deep understanding of the cultural and linguistic contexts of both languages to accurately convey the intended meaning of these expressions. Additionally, it is crucial to consider the similarities and differences in phraseological units related to wild birds in the linguistic repertoire of the Chinese and Kyrgyz peoples. Despite potential linguistic resemblances, national characteristics should be taken into consideration. Translators must be cognizant of these distinctions to ensure that the translated content is culturally sensitive and precise. In conclusion, translating phraseological expressions concerning wild birds from Chinese to Kyrgyz demands a profound comprehension of the linguistic and cultural traits of both languages. Addressing the challenges posed by figurative elements and national characteristics is essential for delivering an accurate and culturally appropriate translation. Further research is imperative to devise effective strategies for translating phraseological units between these two languages.
