Retraction Guidelines

Retraction of a scientific article is a notification to readers about the correction of a published scientific work, cases of duplication in several editions (when authors present the same data in several publications) and that the publication contains erroneous data and self-plagiarism.

The following proven facts determined by the working group are the basis for the withdrawal (retraction) of scientific papers:

- detection of plagiarism in the publication;

 - duplication of the article in several editions;

 -detection of falsifications or fabrications (e.g, juggling of research data);

 - detection of serious mistakes in the work (for example, misinterpretation of results), which casts doubt on its scientific value;

 - incorrect list of authors (including individuals who did not take part in writing the article, conducting the research, etc.; individuals who were directly involved in conducting the research and writing the article, but were not indicated);

 - the conflict of interests;

 -republishing of the article without the Author's consent;

 - the article did not pass the review procedure.

 The initiators of the process (retraction) of the article can be:

 - the author(s) of the article, who sends a written reasoned appeal to the editors of the journal to retract the article;

- the editor-in-chief of the journal, who prepares a well-based opinion of the reasons for the retraction of the publication;

- edition of another journal

- other individuals who have provided evidence of violations of scientific ethics by the author(s) of the article (e.g, participants in the conflict of interest).

Retraction of articles in the journal is carried out as follows:

After the appeal of the author or another person who provided the facts of violation of scientific ethics in the article, the editorial board of the journal appoints a commission that conducts a comprehensive study of the case, taking into account all available facts and opportunities to verify the ethics of the publication;

Having decided to retract an article, the editorial board indicates in the minutes of the meeting the reason for the retraction (in case of detection of plagiarism, indicating the sources of borrowing), as well as the date of retraction. The article and description of the article remain on the website of the journal as a part of the relevant issue of the journal marked “RETRACTED, date”, the same mark is put in the article and in the table of contents of the issue.

A protocol is provided to the Council of scientific publication ethics of  ASEP (for the entry of information into a Single database of retracted articles),  indicating the date of the meeting, the list of the participants of the meeting, the results of the expertise and the reasoned decision.

Information on the retracted articles is also send to the scientific information databases - SCIENTIFIC ELECTRONIC LIBRARY, Council of scientific publication ethics of (ASEP) Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers.

The editorial board reserves the right to make its own decision regarding further cooperation with the authors of the retracted articles.
