For the purposes of this review, geriatric patients were defined as those aged 75 years or older. The aim of this systematic review was to examine and synthesize the available evidence to establish: (1) Survival of dental implants in geriatric patients, (2) Potential impact of the most common systemic diseases and their treatments on implant survival (WHO, 2015). The primary question asked for this systematic review was: “What is the impact of advanced age (≥75 years) and/or general systemic diseases in patients undergoing dental implant treatment on implant survival, biological and technical complication rates?”
