THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IS A TOOL OF SOFT POWER IN THE FIELDS OF EDUCATION AND CULTURE

This article examines the role of the English language as a key instrument of soft power in international relations. Special attention is paid to educational and cultural programs, which serve as the main channels for spreading influence through language. The author analyzes the activities of international organizations and state institutions, including the British Council, the Fulbright Program, and the BBC World Service, demonstrating how the English language contributes to building a positive image of states, strengthening cultural ties, and promoting values. In addition, the study explores the role of English in education, science, digital communication, and cultural diplomacy. It is concluded that English functions not only as a means of communication but also as an important tool of strategic influence in the era of globalization.
