CREATION OF BESKARAGAI FACTORY TYPE AND SHOYNKARA AND BAYTOR LINES OF KAZAKH HORSE BREED

Abstract

When creating a new Beskaragai factory type of the Kazakh horse breed, the main method of breeding was line breeding, which provided for a set of zootechnical measures aimed at improving, consolidating and further improving the economically useful qualities of horses. When breeding along the lines, a certain genealogical structure of the breed was created, which made it possible to maintain an optimal level of heterozygosity and prevent the spontaneous proliferation of homozygosity. Since there is a high genetic similarity within the Shoynkar and Baytora lines, this made it possible to use the effect of linear compatibility.

With the purebred breeding of the new Beskaragai factory type of the Kazakh breed, based on their genetic characteristics, it is possible to obtain not only individual outstanding stallions and mares, but also to create some genotypes representing great breeding value. The role of these horses as meat and dairy animals is exceptionally great, their productive potential in terms of live weight reaches 510 kg in mares and 550 kg in stallions. Mares are distinguished by high fertility, milk production and high meat productivity.
