INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND CHINA’S POLICY TOWARD THE NEIGHBORING CENTRAL ASIAN COUNTRIES

The article analyzes the policy of the People’s Republic of China toward its neighboring Central Asian states — Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan — within the framework of international cooperation. It examines the main stages of bilateral relations after the collapse of the Soviet Union, geopolitical factors, the impact of the international environment, and China’s economic and energy interests in the region. Particular attention is paid to border settlement issues, regional security, and the expansion of trade and economic cooperation. The study concludes that China consistently strengthens its position in Central Asia through economic instruments and strategic partnerships.
