HISTORY AND CURRENT STATE OF THE SINO-JAPANESE CONFLICTS

This scientific article provides a comprehensive analysis of the historical and current political relations between Japan and China. Special attention is given to the causes, developments, and consequences of the First Sino-Japanese War (1894–1895) in the late 19th century and the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945) in the 20th century. These wars significantly reshaped the political map of East Asia and laid the foundation for long-term rivalry between the two nations. In addition, the article explores the historical and geopolitical aspects of the ongoing territorial dispute over the Diaoyu (Senkaku) Islands. This conflict not only fuels diplomatic tensions between Japan and China but also negatively affects regional security and international relations in East Asia. The main purpose of the article is to scientifically analyze the historical roots and modern manifestations of the Japan–China conflicts, as well as to assess their significance at both regional and global levels. The study is based on historical documents, archival data, and scholarly sources evaluating current political processes.
