Accurate and reliable modeling of the wind flow over natural complex terrain using modern CFD tools is important for a wide range of applications, including the transport and dispersion of pollutants and the assessment of wind energy resources. An urgent problem is to ensure comfortable living conditions for the population in urban areas, where the determining sources of harmful impurities are automobile exhaust gases and emissions from heating systems built without taking into account the wind rose. For the first time, mathematical modeling of the flow around a natural obstacle, Sulaiman Mountain, Osh, Kyrgyzstan, was carried out in the OpenFAOM7 open source package. The concentrations of passive impurities were calculated at 3 reference points located on different sides of Sulaiman Mountain.
