Abstract

The article examines the current conditions of the transition of the Kyrgyz Republic to a market economy; civil law is becoming one of the main regulators of the country's economic life. Ten years ago, the Kyrgyz Republic embarked on the path of a market economy. The transition to a market economy led to significant changes in the legal environment, including a profound legal reform around contractual relations related to energy supply. Previous methods of legal regulation of energy supply turned out to be inapplicable. This is primarily due to the loss of state monopolies on energy supply, the privatization of major energy enterprises. The energy supply contract is the most common type of contract and the scope of its application is wide. The role of energy supply is difficult to overestimate today. The energy supply contract is a necessary element of the life of society, a mandatory condition for the development of the economy, since all individuals and legal entities need energy resources to one degree or another. Energy supply refers to activities related to ensuring the life of the population.
