Relevance. The article examines the problem of pharmacy drug addiction in the Kyrgyz Republic and the importance of introducing educational programs for its prevention. An analysis of factors contributing to the spread of drug abuse among the population is conducted, including easy access to drugs, lack of knowledge about the dangers of self-medication and social conditions. The key components of preventive educational programs are identified, including lectures, trainings and the involvement of pharmacies and medical institutions in the educational process. The importance of integrating such programs into school and university education, as well as the active participation of the family, is emphasized. The main barriers to the implementation of programs are considered and ways to overcome them are proposed.
