WOMEN AND SOCIAL PROTECTION IN THE REGIONS OF KYRGYZSTAN

This article analyzes the status of women in the social protection system in the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic. Based on a study of the legal framework, statistical data, and regional characteristics, it examines key factors determining women's social vulnerability, including limited access to social services, low awareness, economic instability, and gender inequalities. Particular attention is paid to differences between urban and rural areas, which affect the availability of benefits, healthcare, employment, and crisis support. The article also identifies the challenges faced by women affected by internal and external migration. Based on this analysis, recommendations are proposed for improving social support systems, developing regional social services, and enhancing the effectiveness of gender-responsive public policy.
