POLITICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE CONCEPT OF REPATRIATION

The article discusses that millions of people around the world are forced to live and work outside their historical homeland. In this context, we are talking only about those emigrants who found themselves abroad not of their own free will, but due to forced life circumstances. Most forced displacements were provoked by world wars, revolutions, repressions and genocide of some ethnic group. And if we take into account that the last pronounced national persecutions were in the middle of the last century, then now the world community has not the first and not even the second generation of forced migrants. We can safely talk about the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of those citizens who, at one time, found themselves torn away from their roots and homeland. And within the framework of the increased interest in the relocation of our compatriots abroad in recent years, repatriation has become one of the main reasons for emigration.
