In this article, the structure of the budget of the Kyrgyz Republic, items of expenses, their characteristics were studied, the state of the budget deficit was studied, the main causes of the deficit were determined, the ways of reducing expenses were analyzed, and the issues of eliminating the budget deficit were considered.
